03.10.2011 Elite League

Today was the first run of the play off finals in the Elite League. We all knew it would be difficult. We lost eight points behind, unfortunately. Of course we will do all everything we can to make up for gap on next Monday. I have now retracted unfortunately only 5 points and still I am not entirely dissatisfied. We had taken the same setup as early as 17/09/2011, but this one it´s didn´t work somehow. In the first heat I come off pretty well, but then I turn on a bit and then it was this on the track, but could at least save one point. In the second heat the start was quite good but somehow lacked the speed to stay ahead, unfortunately, a zero. Again as the second from the tapes I'm in Round 3, but L. Bridger has smuggled in over yet again only one point. In the fourth run I still felt a kick in the first corner and I had trouble keeping myself on the machine, unfortunately for me 0 points. I got another chance, I could go for R. Wells. My team and I decided to take the other bike, it was all or nothing. The start was not the best, but then I saw the gap between C. Woodward and L. Bridger and this I've used for beautiful move forward through the middle at # 1. That was a nice ending for me. Maybe I should go earlier, but in hindsight it is always wiser. What it is, it's like it is. Tomorrow I fly back home only once, breathe a little, and then again on Friday to go to Edinburgh and to collect points.
